WATERBURY, CT - Mr. Raymond E. LeBlanc, age 95 of Waterbury, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, September 27th, 2015, surrounded by the love and comfort of his family, after an extended illness. He was the widower of Helen (Knott) LeBlanc.
Raymond was born January 26th, 1920 in Waterbury, CT, the son of the late Joseph & Albina (Beausoeil) LeBlanc. Raymond was the youngest of seven children and the last living sibling. Raymond was employed as a Purchasing Agent for The Bristol Companies of Waterbury for 39 years until his retirement. Raymond was a WWII US Army Veteran who honorably served his country during WWII, and was awarded the Purple Heart while serving in the South Pacific from 1941- 1945. He was a proud and dedicated solider and patriot and was honored to be the longest living lifetime member of the Waterbury VFW Post # 201 on Baldwin Street where he has been extremely active since 1945 when he returned home from the war. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, and was an avid UCONN Basketball fan and served as a volunteer at Saint Mary's Hospital for many years after his retirement. He was a parishioner of Saints Peter & Paul Church.
Among his survivors, are his son, John R. LeBlanc and his wife, Barbara of Waterbury, four granddaughters, ten great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his grandson, John LeBlanc Jr.

Funeral services for Mr. LeBlanc will be held on Monday, October 5th at 10:00am at Eastside Memorial "A Casey Family Funeral Home and Tribute Center" 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd, 2015. Burial with full military honors will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Waterbury. Relatives and friends may visit with Raymond's family on Sunday afternoon at the funeral home from 2:00 ~ 4:00 PM.
