BETHLEHEM CT - Mrs. Rhonda Elizabeth Redding-Werling, age 52 of Bethlehem passed away peacefully on Saturday September 24, 2016 surrounded by the love and comfort of her family at Yale New Haven Hospital after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of William Werling.
Rhonda was born on January 14, 1964 in New Haven the daughter of the late Ronald Redding and Barbara Gladwin Redding and her husband John LeBlanc. She was educated in the Ansonia School System and graduated from Porter and Chester Institute as a Certified Medical Assistant. At the time of her passing she was affiliated with the Southbury Medical Associates. Rhonda loved the ocean and was fascinated by outer space. She also enjoyed a good book while cuddled up with the cats and dog. Rhonda was always a people person, gaining many wonderful friends throughout the years.
Besides her husband of 20 years, her Mom and Step Dad, Rhonda leaves her daughter Dena Werling of Bethlehem, her sisters, Rena (Joseph) Barrow of England, Rebecca (David) Lazauskas of Torrington and several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends especially Kim Martin and Susan Kvietkus.
Rhonda's family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Yale Neuro ICU for the outstanding, compassionate care that they shared with Rhonda and her family.
Funeral services for Mrs. Redding-Werling will be held on Monday, October 3, 2016 when Mass of Christian Burial will be held at SS Peter & Paul Church 167 Southmayd Rd. Waterbury at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
