“Active member of the local Lebanese community”
WATERBURY - Richard Jaoude, age, 61, a cherished husband, devoted father, and beloved member of the Lebanese community, passed away peacefully at the age of 61 in the comfort of his home on Thursday evening June 20, 2024.
Richard was born and raised in Lebanon, Richie embarked on a journey that led him to the United States in his twenties, where he carved out a fulfilling life in Danbury, Connecticut before moving to Waterbury shortly after. In Danbury, Richie found not only a new home but also love. He met Marie, his beloved wife, and soon started a family together. Richie adored his family deeply and took immense joy in spending time with them. Richie was known for his jovial spirit and love of laughter. A regular at the Ehden Lebanese American Club, he could often be found engrossed in a game of cards, sharing stories, and enjoying the camaraderie of friends. His infectious laughter and quick wit endeared him to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Beyond his passion for cards and humor, Richard had a sweet tooth for chocolate, always ready to indulge in his favorite treat. His warmth, kindness, and genuine interest in others left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to cross paths with him.
Richard Jaoude will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his family, friends, and all who knew him. His legacy of love, laughter, and compassion will continue to inspire those whose lives he touched.
Left to honor his legacy and cherish his memory, besides his beloved wife of 36 years, Marie, Richie leaves behind his sons; Joe Jaoude and his wife, Erica of Milford and Domenic Jaoude of Waterbury, as well as his precious grandson, little Richie (aka RJ). He also leaves behind his three sisters in Lebanon and several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father and mother in Lebanon and his brothers; Robert and Raymond.
