THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE ASSISTING AND CARING FOR THE FAMILY OF RICHARD J. LITINSKAS

WATERBURY - Richard J. Litinskas age 72 of Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday, January 21st 2019.

Richard was born July 29, 1946 the son the late Ignas "Nick" and Bernice (Lugauskas) Litinskas. He was a graduate of Wilby High School and spent many years working in the metering division at CL& P - Northeast Utilities until his retirement. Richard was an avid hunter and fisherman and skilled fly tyer. He enjoyed spending time outdoors. He was extremely active in the Lithuanian community and was a board member of the Knights of Lithuania Council #7 Waterbury. He was a member of the Lithuanian Club where he was a served on the Board of Directors as Treasurer and was also a member of the Lithuanian Cemetery Board of Trustee's where he also served as its Treasurer. Richard was a communicant of Saint Joseph's Church and he will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love him.

Among his survivors are his cousins, Michael Lugauskas and his wife, Lisa of Waterbury, Gerald Lugauskas, Andrew Lugauskas and Michelle and Matthew Lugauskas all of Waterbury. He also leaves his two Goddaughters, Michelle Lugauskas and Megan Reynolds as well as his close friends, Rick Reynolds of Harwinton, Leon Farr of Waterbury, and Arnold Butkus of Miami, FL.

Funeral services for Mr. Litinskas will be held on Saturday January 26th, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home, 1987 East Main Street @ Southmayd Road, Waterbury, CT. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with Richard's family on Friday evening at the funeral home from 5:00 - 7:00 PM.
