Richard J. Malvey ?" age 77 of Townsend Ave, Waterbury died Tuesday October 2nd at Saint Mary's Hospital after a brief illness. He was the widower of Mary Jane (Kennedy) Malvey.
Mr. Malvey was born August 20th 1930 in Waterbury the son of the late Martin & Leona (Hurlbut) Malvey. He attended local schools and was a graduate of Croft High School. During the Korean War he was stationed in Germany while serving in the US Army. Before his retirement he worked as an electrician for Risdon Manufacturing. Mr. Malvey had a love of dogs especially German Shepard's and enjoyed riding his motorcycle.
Among his survivors are his son Martin Malvey of Waterbury, his three daughters Janet Malvey of Naugatuck, Joan Malvey of Wolcott, and Judy Ouellette and her husband Michael, of Wolcott, as well as three grandchildren, Silver Dalessandro, Mikala & Mackenzie Ouellette.
A celebration of life will be held Friday October 5th from 6-8 p.m. at his daughter Judy's home at 3 ledgebrook Dr. Wolcott.
