Richard is survived by his wife and best friend of 30 years, Andrea, their two sons, Michael and Vincent Petrario and their daughter, Jamie Petrario. His children were his pride and joy and filled his heart with love and his life with laughter.
He is also survived by two brothers Robert and Raymond Petrario, whom he shared a lifetime of memories and friendship.
Richard leaves behind Tricia Cugliari and A.J. Betancourt, whom he loved as if they were his own children. He leaves his lifelong friends, Thomas Unwin, John Barra, Edward (Chief) Salvi and Pamela (Hankey) Orsini, who have all walked by his side faithfully for the last 50 years and proved what true friendship is all about.
Richard is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Richard was a lifelong resident of Waterbury and a graduate of Crosby High School. Richard worked for his father's family business, A & C transmission, for several years before entering into a career in Reverse Vending. He was employed at ENVIPCO in Naugatuck, CT.
If he wasn't at work, he was home spending time with family-his greatest love of all. Richard was an avid fan of the NY Yankees, had a love for Harley Davidson Motorcycles, and found great humor in watching and quoting "The Honeymooners".
