THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE CARING FOR AND ASSISTING THE FAMILY OF RICHARD REYES
"Devoted to his Family"
WATERBURY - Richard Reyes (age 63) of Waterbury, passed away on Monday, January 17, 2022 at Waterbury Hospital of complications from COVID#19. He was surrounded by the prayers and love of his family and friends.
Richard was born in Camden, New Jersey on March 8, 1958 to Haydee Lopez of Puerto Rico. He worked for many years at The Siemon Company in Watertown as a Mold Maintenance Technician Supervisor. "Richie" to some, and "Ricky" to others, was an unquestionably outgoing person with many interests. He enjoyed dancing, spending time with family and friends, traveling (especially visiting his mother and sisters in Puerto Rico), and volunteering his time to benefit sheltered animals. He also appreciated a beautiful day by taking long drives on his motorcycle. He was a master carpenter, a scuba diver, and mechanic. He often used his skills to help others in need, including serving his country in the Army in the 7th Cavalry Armored Division. Not only did he adore his family but also his late dalmation Travis and cat Kiki.Richard will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love him.
Left to honor his memory and cherish his legacy are his three sons and daughters-in-law: Edward and his wife Diana of CT, Steven and his wife Raquel of FL, and Ricardo of TX. He also leaves three sisters: Zulma, Inez and Jessica, Evelyn, Sonia, Maggie, and a brother, Gumersindo as well as his grandchildren Nathan, Zander, Anjelika, Alexander, Jacob, Amalia, and Iliana, great grandson Phoenix, and godson Brandon.
