WATERBURY - Richard P. Warner, age 85, of Waterbury. Passed away at Waterbury Hospital on Friday, September 27th 2013, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Patricia (Paffney) Warner.
Richard was born July 6th 1928 in Newark, NJ, the son of the late Ralph and Nettie (Pond) Warner and grew up in the Thomaston area where he attended local schools. He was a member of the local Teamster union #677 and worked as a truck driver for various trucking companies throughout the area until his retirement. Richard was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed boating, hunting, and fishing. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Loreto Church and a former member of the Knight's of Columbus.
Besides his loving wife Patty of 63 years, Richard is survived by his children: Bruce Warner and his wife Linda of CA. Diane Potter and her husband Robert of Waterbury, Lynn Musto and her husband Tony of Middlebury, Patricia "PJ" (Warner) Romel of East Windsor, and Lori Warner of Waterbury as well as his seven grandchildren and his great grandson.
