AT THE CASEY - O'DONNELL FAMILY FUNERAL HOME - Waterbury, CT. Mr. .Robert E. Barker, age 48 of Vista Pl, Waterbury died Friday, July 3, 2009 at Yale New Haven Hospital after a brief illness.
Robert was born in Southington CT on October 23, 1960, a son of the late Howard and Ruth (Kelly) Barker. He spent his early childhood years in Vermont and settled in Waterbury where he graduated from Wilby High School. He was a computer technician and was employed at General DataComm. Bob loved to fish, was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed traveling back to his native Vermont.
Robert is survived by his three daughters, Stephanie of Wolcott, Shelley of Almo, Kentucky and Chelsey of Niantic, three brothers, William and Peter both of Waterbury and Arthur of Barkhamsted as well as a sister, Judith Barker of Waterbury. He also leaves several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Barker will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2009 at 11:00am at the Casey O'Donnell Family Funeral Home, 1581 East Main St. Waterbury. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 10am until the service at 11:00am.
