A faithful father and friend
WATERBURY – It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved father, grandfather and friend, Robert “Bobby” Petrario, age 67, on Wednesday July 26, 2023, at St. Marys Hospital.
Bobby was born on February 25, 1956, in Waterbury, the son of the late Angelo “Babe” and Judith (McGrath) Petrario. He was educated in local schools and was raised in the Gilmartin section of Waterbury where he still has a multiude of special friends. Bobby worked for many years and retired at Carpin Mfg in Waterbuy. An avid baseball and UCONN basketball fan, Bobby was a consummate Waterburian with a host of great friends and neighbors and he loved his city, but he loved his family even more. A devoted father and grandfather. He treasured all the time spent with his family and he will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love him.
Left to honor his legacy and cherish his memory, are his daughters; Nicole Petrario, Lauren Petrario and Kristen Lopezzo and her spouse, Rachael Lopezzo all of Waterbury, his longtime companion, Reeni Halit of Waterbury and his beloved grandchildren; Jayden, Adorian, Kamdyn, Kelso and Jameson. He also leaves his brother, Raymond of Waterbury and he was predeceased by his brother, Richard.
Funeral services for Mr. Petrario will be private and held at the convenience of his family. Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 1987 East Main St., Waterbury has been honored to assist the Petrario family during this most difficult time.
