THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE ASSISTING AND CARING FOR THE FAMILY OF ROBERT "BOBBY" DECKER.

WATERBURY - Robert C. "Bobby" Decker age 78 of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 24th, 2019 at Saint Mary's Hospital surrounded by the love and comfort of his family after an extended illness. He was the partner in life and love of Anita Doran.

Robert was born September 21, 1940 in Waterbury, CT, the son of the late Frank and Alice (Meyer) Decker. He was educated in local schools and proudly served his country with the U.S. Army. Robert spent many years working as a truck driver for local trucking companies including Bozzuto's, Aljim, & Jackson-Lea Distributors before his retirement. He was avid Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan and he enjoyed fishing, gardening, bird watching, and taking trips to the casinos.

Besides his longtime companion of 35 years, Anita, Robert is survived by his cousins; June and Wilmore Adderley of Southbury, Walter O'Neill, as well as Anita's children: Christine Doran-Rossi and her husband, Lawrence, and their children, William, Angela, Domenic and his fiancé, Becca Whitney. Linda Doran-Generali and her partner, Arthur LaVallee, and her children, Peter, Rachel, Andrea, and her fiancé, Paulo Lopes. He also leaves close friends Gladys Conway and Pete Generali.

Funeral Services for Mr. Decker will be held on Wednesday, March 27th 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd. Waterbury, CT 06705. Burial with full military honors will follow in New Pine Grove Cemetery, Waterbury. Relatives and friends may visit with Robert's family on Wednesday morning from 9:00 am until the time of the service at 10:00 at the funeral home.
