THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE CARING FOR AND ASSISTING THE FAMILY OF ROBERT DIFRONZO
WATERBURY CT - Robert P. DiFronzo age 82 of Waterbury, passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2019 surrounded by his family at Hartford Hospital. He was the devoted husband of Irene (Correia) DiFronzo.
Robert was born on August 15, 1936 in Waterbury, the son of the late Silvio and Eva (Paonessa) DiFronzo. He graduated from Walsh Grammar School and Crosby High School and studied business management at Naugatuck Valley Community College. Robert proudly served his country in the US Army and was stationed in Korea. He worked for 30 years at Pratt & Whitney in Quality Control and Vendor Management until his retirement, having earned many awards and recognitions. Robert's entire life revolved around his family, enjoying the simple pleasures of a catch in the yard with his grandchildren, apple picking in the fall, hiking on a trail or just having an impromptu coffee with his daughters. He loved music, was an avid reader, and a die hard Yankees fan. He was a devoted husband and primary caregiver for his wife, the love of his life. Robert will be sadly missed by all who were blessed to know and love him.
Besides his wife of 60 years, Robert leaves his daughters; Karen Giannamore and her husband, Raymond of Cheshire, Cheryl Fournier and her husband, Norman of Wolcott and Lori Norton and her fiancé, Sal Coppola of Cheshire. He also leaves his grandchildren who adored their grandfather; Sarah, Michael, Steven, Danielle, Jonathan and Mia as well as many cousins.
Funeral services for Mr. DiFronzo will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 with a family only visitation from 8:00 till 9:30 a.m. at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd Waterbury. All friends and relatives are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial which be celebrated on Tuesday at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 309 South Main St Waterbury at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
