WOLCOTT - Robert J. Hill of Wolcott, CT, passed away peacefully October 25, 2015 on his 62nd birthday at the Vitas Innovative Care Unit of St. Mary's Hospital surrounded by the love and comfort of his family after a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of Linda (Walton) Hill.
Robert was born October 25, 1953 in Shawinigan Falls, Quebec, the son of the late Walter and Laurette (Chevalier) Hill. Robert was the founder, owner and operator of Bob's Carpentry for over thirty years and was a talented and gifted carpenter and woodworker. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and loved nature. He enjoyed golfing, playing pool, and will be remembered for his unique dry sense of humor. He was a member of the Bristol Fish and Game Club and he always looked forward to his annual hunting trips to Nebraska.
Besides his wife Linda, of 30 years, Robert is survived by his daughter, Courtney Hill of Wolcott, his brother, Gary Hill and his wife, Traci of Oakville, his sisters Pierrette Muccino and Fran Hill both of Waterbury, his mother and father in-law John and Irene Walton of Oakville, his brother in law, John Walton and his wife, Tara of Oakville, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Richard and Serge Hill
Funeral services for Mr. Hill will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
