OAKVILLE - Robert D. Larsen, age 73 of Oakville, passed away peacefully on Friday June 30, 2017 with his wife by his side at Hartford Hospital after a brief illness. He was the husband of Denise (Cronin) (Robinson) Larsen.
Bob was born on September 25, 1943 in Fort Fairfield ME, the son of the late Freeland and Irene (Hitchcock) Larsen. He was a graduate of Wilby High School and spent 27 years as a Tool & Die Maker and Tooling Manager at Winchester Electronics. Bob was a member of the CT National Guard. He had a great sense of humor, an infectious laugh and will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him. He enjoyed cooking, especially enjoyed his daily trips to the local grocery stores and he loved to travel.
Besides his devoted wife, Denise of 20 years, Bob leaves his children; Robert Larsen Jr. Judith (Ed) Bouffard and Lynn Larsen. He also leaves his sister, Brenda Larsen, sister-in-law, Dorothy Cronin, special friend, Pat Page and his former son-in-law, George Crownshaw. He also leaves his step-children; Katherine Grable and Paul Robinson Jr and his grandchildren; Jennifer, Jeff, Joseph, Kevin, Parise, Tabitha and Shari, Kathryn and Abby and his great grandchildren; Logan, Giada, Olivia and Aidan. Bob also leaves several loving aunts, uncles and cousins in Upstate NY and his nephew, William Vendetti. He was predeceased by his first wife, Sandra (Vendetti) Larsen.
Funeral services for Mr. Larsen will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at 12:30pm at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd. Waterbury, CT 06705. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury.
