Robert H. McKenna

Mr. Robert C. McKenna, age 83, of Arline Dr. Waterbury, died unexpectedly Monday at St. Mary's Hospital.
Mr. McKenna was born September 17, 1924 in Waterbury, CT, son of the late William A. and Marguerite M (Doyle) McKenna. He was educated in local schools, a graduate of Crosby High School. He was employed for many years at Colonial Bank and its many successor banks. He completed many courses of study through the American Institute of Banking. He worked for many years at the Downtown Waterbury Branch, managed the Watertown Plaza office and was manager at the Southbury, Heritage Village Branch when he retired. He was a particularly fond and looked forward to lunching with his fellow bank retirees each month. He was a parishioner of SS Peter & Paul and St. Leo's Churches.
Mr. McKenna leaves two sisters, Mrs. Marguerite "Billy" Moran and Elizabeth "Betty" Geigle both of Waterbury and a nephew, John W. Moran and a niece Maureen Corcoran both of Waterbury.
Funeral services for Mr. McKenna will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2007 at St. Leo's Church with a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 9:00 AM. Family and friends are asked to go directly to the church. Burial will follow in New St. Joseph's Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the Casey-O'Donnell Family Funeral Home 1581 East Main St. Waterbury on Friday evening October 26, 2007 from 5-7PM. Memorial donations in Mr. McKenna's memory may be made to SS Peter & Paul Church Development Fund, 67 Southmayd Rd. Waterbury CT 06075 or to the Harold Leever Cancer Center 1075 Chase Parkway Waterbury.
