For 40 years, he organized bus trips to Washington, D.C., for the March for Life. A devout Catholic, Bob was a dedicated parishioner of the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception. He was also a member of the Legion of Mary and spent decades teaching Natural Family Planning through the Couple to Couple League. Bob’s contributions to his parish and community were recognized with the Saint Joseph’s Medal of Appreciation for his outstanding service. In 2019, he was honored with the Maureen A. Donohoe Life Award from Carolyn’s Place, an organization that held a special place in his heart. Bob enjoyed camping, traveling, playing cards, and cheering for his favorite team, the St. Louis Cardinals.
