Oakville- Robert John "Toby" Tobin Jr. age 53 of Oakville passed away unexpectedly at Waterbury hospital on Sunday April 6th 2014 . He was the longtime companion of Michelle Biello.
Toby was born December 1, 1960 in Waterbury, CT the son of the late Robert J. and Phyllis (Bradley) Tobin Sr. He was a long time Oakville resident and was a graduate of Kaynor Tech High School. Toby worked as a Plumber for several area plumbing services, most recently F.F. Hitchcock Company of Cheshire and was the former owner of Affordable Plumbing and Heating. Robert loved sports and was avid UConn Huskies, NY Yankees, and New England Patriots Fan and was a dedicated patron of Ro's Pizza in Oakville.
Besides his longtime friend Michelle, he is survived by his son Robert J. Tobin III and his companion Deanna Pettit and their daughter Aubrey, his sisters Donna Noel and her husband Donald of Mystic, CT Sandra Calabrese and her husband Joseph of Oakville, as well as his nieces and nephews, Christopher Troisi , Diana Howard, Marissa Brophy, and their spouses.
Funeral Services for Mr. Tobin will be held on Wednesday April 9th 2014 at 9:00a.m. at Saint Mary Magdalen Church 45 Buckingham St Oakville when a Mass of Christin burial will be celebrated. Those planning to attend are asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in All Saints Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with Roberts family on Tuesday evening April 8th from 5 to 8 p.m. at the O'Neill funeral home 742 Main St Oakville, CT 06779.
