Roberta "Bobbi" Hurley

AT THE CASEY-O'DONNELL FAMILY FUNERAL HOME: - A Memorial Service has been set for Sunday, May 31, 2009 at 11:30am at the Casey- O'Donnell Funeral Home, 1581 East Main St Waterbury for Roberta Burnes Hurley, Bobbie to her family and friends, who passed away February 8th 2009 in Huntington Beach, CA.. Born May 31st 1931 in Waterbury Connecticut, Roberta moved from her beloved New England to Southern California in 1997. She was the daughter of the late Grace and Robert Burnes.

During her career, Bobbie worked as a teacher and a principal in several elementary and high schools in Connecticut. She assisted in the development and was principal of the Walsh Technological Magnet School in Waterbury.

Roberta is survived by her daughter, Dr. Amy Elizabeth Hanson and her husband, Dr. Stefan Hanson, her beloved grandson Amory Hanson, her sisters Elizabeth (Frank) Hackett and Mary Ann (Sal) Gugliotti, her brother James Burnes, 10 nieces and nephews, and 10 great nieces and nephews.

Friends may pay their respects to her family from 11am - until the time of the service at 11:30am at the funeral home. A luncheon, to continue the celebration of Roberta's life, will follow at the San Marino Restaurant, Colonial Plaza, Waterbury.
