THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE ASSISTING THE FAMILY OF ROLAND PERREAULT
SOUTHINGTON-Roland Perreault, 75, passed away peacefully at home on February 2, 2022. He was the husband of Francine (Furey) Perreault.
Roland was born November 7, 1946, in Willimantic, the son of Robert and Muriel Perreault.
A carpenter by trade, Roland worked for many years building and remodeling homes throughout Connecticut. When it came to woodworking, he was an artist and enjoyed volunteering his services to family and friends, always going the extra mile to provide them with a beautifully crafted project.
Later in life, Roland worked as a property maintenance professional in the Hartford area, where he took care of hundreds of apartments and was very appreciated by all the residents he helped over the years. In addition to carpentry, he was highly skilled in electrical, plumbing, tiling, flooring and all aspects of property maintenance, and he could handle and address nearly every situation imaginable.
What Roland enjoyed most in life was spending time with his wife, Francine, whether it be traveling, dining out, going dancing together, or simply kicking back and watching their favorite team, the UConn Women Huskies. He also cherished his grandchildren, Billy and Tori, and boasted about them to everyone he knew.
A veteran of the United States Navy, Roland was a master of Morse code during his service in the 1960s.
Besides his wife, Francine, Roland is survived by his stepsons, Bill Dunn and his wife, Michele, of Middlebury and Chris Dunn of Jackson, Wyoming; his sisters, Lorraine Leet of Ashford, Arline Blair of North Windham, and Diane Shapera of North Windham; his brother, Bob Perreault of East Hampton; and his grandchildren, Billy and Tori.
Funeral services will be private. Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Services 1987 East Main St Waterbury is honored to be caring for Roland and his family during this difficult time.
