AT THE O'NEILL FUNERAL HOME - Oakville - Rollande (Fournier) Lambert, age 94, formerly of Middlebury, died Saturday November 20, 2010 at the Cook Willow Convalescent Hospital in Plymouth. She was the widow of Raymond Lambert.
Mrs. Lambert was born March 3, 1916, in Manchester NH, a daughter of the late Jean Baptiste and Maria (Vallee) Fournier. Rollande moved to Middlebury in 1952, where she raised her family. She worked at Uniroyal and Timex Corp. and in her later years she was employed by NOW Inc. in the food service program. She loved to sew and spent many years caring for her grandchildren. Family gatherings were her passion as was visiting with her sisters and their families. Energetic and outgoing, she was always the first person to take to the dance floor and she was certainly the life of any party.
Rollande is survived by two sons; Thomas A. Lambert and his wife Loretta of Oakville and Raymond Lambert and his wife Gracia of Bridgeport. She also leaves her sister, Judy Stem of Waterbury, eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren one great, great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Barbara Newell, 3 brothers James, Leopold "Paul" and Ferdinand Fournier and 4 sisters, Noella Longhi, Blanche Serlise, Germaine LaCondrata and Irene Lasalata.
Funeral services for Mrs. Lambert will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
