WATERBURY Mrs. Rose F. Trainor (Blondie), age 91, formerly of Lounsbury Ave, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, November 1, 2007 at St. Mary's Hospital. She was the widow of the Joseph B. Trainor.
Rose was born March 3, 1916, in Waterbury, the daughter of the late Raffael and Annunziata (Iannantuoni) Carozza. Rose grew up in the Town Plot section of Waterbury and attended local schools, Barnard and WilbyHigh School. She worked at the Hemingway Company in Waterbury before she was married and later for Timex of Watertown. Most of her adult life Rose was a homemaker caring for her husband and her children, her father, her grandchildren, and her nieces and nephews. She was a parishioner of St. Francis Xavier Church and was a member of the Ladies Guild.
Rose is survived by her sons, Chief James M. Trainor, City of Meriden, Fire Dept. and his wife Eileen, and John F. Trainor, and a sister Marie Guarino of Wolcott, 6 grandchildren: Stacy Trainor, Mark and Malissa Trainor John J, Trainor, Elizabeth F.Trainor, Patrick M. Trainor, and Christopher J. Trainor , and a great granddaughter, Cayleigh Trainor, a daughter-in-law Sharon Trainor, and several nieces and nephews. Rose is predeceased by her son Joseph P. Trainor, seven sisters, Josephine Carozza, Lena Synott, Toni Santone, Claire Tomasi, Nancy Deschenes, Felice Ostrom, Lucille Bovay, and a brother, Peter Carozza.
Funeral services will be Monday November 5, at 8:45 am from the Casey-O'Donnell Funeral Home 1581 East Main Street Waterbury, CT, to St. Francis Xavier Church, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 4-7pm. Memorial donations in Mrs. Trainor's memory may be made to the St. Francis Xavier School Development Fund, 615 Baldwin St. Waterbury CT.
