DURHAM, CT - Rose Warren, age 82 of Durham, passed away peacefully Saturday, September 5th 2015, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family at the Vitas Innovative Care Unit at St. Mary's Hospital in Waterbury after an extended illness.
Rose was born April 17th 1933 in East Haven, Ct the daughter of the late Oscar and Rose G. (Rauch) Johnson. Rose spent many years working for SNET and held various positions there including truck driver. She was an avid horseback rider and enjoyed caring for horses on her farm in Durham and also enjoyed painting and crafting ceramics and was a member of the ceramics guild. She was also the owner of Carousel Horses by Rose where she would craft, paint, and sell finished ceramic carousel horses.
Among her survivors are several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her siblings Buck Johnson, Vera Taylor, Doris Boyce, and Loretta Smith.
Services for Mrs. Warren will be held privately and at the convenience of the family there are no calling hours. EASTSIDE MEMORIAL "A Casey Family Funeral Home and Tribute Center," 1987 East Main St., Waterbury has been entrusted to assist the family with the arrangements.
