THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE ASSISTING AND CARING FOR THE FAMILY OF ROSEMARY BROWN
WATERTOWN, CT -Rosemary B. Brown age 81 of Watertown, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 15, 2018 at Waterbury Hospital surrounded by the love and comfort of her family. She was the widow of Lt. Thomas R. Brown.
Rosemary was born September 3, 1936 in Gary, West Virginia, the daughter of the late John and Clara (Ipacs) Kovacs. She was a graduate of Warren Harding High School and worked as a secretary for Tek Bearing and then spent many years working as a school secretary for several schools in Waterbury including Carrington, Bunker Hill, Walsh and Sprague Schools, retiring in 1999. Rosemary loved shopping, especially for others and always loved running into teachers and former students. She enjoyed spending time at her condo in FL. with her husband and always looked forward to her annual family vacations. There was nothing more important to Rosemary then her family. She really loved family gatherings. Her grandchildren meant the world to her and she always made it a priority to attend any of their events whether it was a dance recital or competition, cheerleading , basketball game , graduations, etc. she would always be there rooting them on and supporting them. Rosemary was especially looking forward to her granddaughter's upcoming wedding. A parishioner of Our Lady of Loreto Church, she will be fondly remembered by those who were blessed to know and love her.
Among her survivors are her children; Richard Brown and his wife, Terri of Waterbury, and her daughter, Deborah Bugryn and her husband, Frank of Watertown, her brother, John Kovacs of Bernardsville, NJ. and her sister, Clara Aubin of Norwalk as well as her six grandchildren Lindsay, Matthew, Taylor, Kayleigh, Matthew and Ryan
Funeral services for Mrs. Brown will be held on Friday January 19, 2018 at 9:15 a.m. from Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd. Waterbury, CT 06705 to Our Lady of Loreto Church 12 Ardsley Rd Waterbury to celebrate Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery Watertown. Relatives and friends of Mrs. Brown may visit with her family on Thursday evening, January 18, 2018 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
