THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE ASSISTING AND CARING FOR THE FAMILY OF ROSEMARY M. KENNEY
WATERBURY- Rosemary (Micket) Kenney age 85 of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 30, 2018, with her family by her side at the Vitas Innovative Care Unit of St. Marys Hospital. She was the widow of John F. Kenney Jr.
Mrs. Kenney was born on June 4, 1933 in Waterbury CT, the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Jurenas) Micket. She was a graduate of Waterbury Catholic High School and attended St. Joseph College and worked for many years as a medical transcriptionist at Waterbury Hospital. Rosemary loved spending time at the Cape, especially Ballston beach but could be just as happy in her own backyard with her flowers, pets and friends. She enjoyed word puzzles, especially Sudoku and crossword puzzles and she was well known for staying in touch with her relatives and friends, something that meant a great deal to her. She was a devoted and longtime parishioner of Blessed Sacrament Church in Waterbury. Rosemary was especially proud of her entire family and time spent with them was the most important thing in life to her. She will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.
Rosemary is survived by her children; her daughters; Ellen Tracy and her husband, David of Waterbury, Lisa Falcetti and her husband, Michael of Plantsville, her sons; John "Jay" Kenney and his wife, Bonnie of Harwichport MA and Brian Kenney and his wife, Mudiame of Wallingford. She also leaves her grandchildren who adored their "Gram"; Andrew, David, Emma, Julia, Hannah, Jillian, Sarah, Kristen and Heather and her two great grandchildren; David and Dylan.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Kenney will be on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. when a Mass of Christian burial will be held at Blessed Sacrament Church 188 Robbins St Waterbury CT 06708. Those planning to attend are kindly asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow in Mt Olivet Cemetery, Watertown. The O'Neill Funeral Home has been honored to assist the family with arrangements.
