OAKVILLE - Roy E. Bradshaw age 75, of Oakville Connecticut passed away on October 13, 2013 at Waterbury Hospital. He was the husband of Patricia (Paige) Bradshaw.
Roy was born June 11, 1938 in Waterbury, a son of the late Pearly and Ruth (Lathrop) Bradshaw and was a lifelong resident of Oakville. He was educated in Watertown schools. Prior to his retirement in 2005 Roy worked in construction for Matty's Paving for over 30 years. Roy proudly served his country in the United States Army Reserve. He was an avid fisherman and hunter who loved camping, pig roasts but most enjoyed spending time with his family.
Besides his wife of forty years of Oakville, Roy is survived by his son Roy E. Bradshaw Jr. of Florida, his three daughters Susan Reilly and her husband Bill of Florida, Lori Baribault and her husband Randy of Oakville, Tracy L. Aubin and her husband Robert of Oakville, three brothers Donald Bradshaw of Oakville, Roger Bradshaw of Thomaston and Jack Bradshaw of Bristol, two sisters Ruth Maccione of Waterbury and Joyce Pettit of Florida, nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his son Mark A. Bradshaw, three brothers and two sisters.
Relatives and friends may visit with Roy's family at O'Neill Funereal Home, 742 Main Street, Oakville, CT on Wednesday October 16, 2013 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Burial will be private and at the convenience of his family.
