THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE ASSISTING AND CARING FOR THE FAMILY OF RUTH HUTT
WOLCOTT - Ruth M. Hutt age 93 of Wolcott, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 11th 2019 at Saint Mary's Hospital after a brief illness. She was the widow of Reginald Hutt.
Ruth was born October 9th 1925 the daughter of the late Eugene and Mary (Crowe) Tourangeau. Ruth was a descendent of Ireland and took great pride in her Irish heritage. She was a graduate of Waterbury Catholic High School and went to work at Scoville's Manufacturing in June of 1943 where she made many lifelong friends, especially those who she play canasta with on her lunch break every day before retiring. She was an avid reader and writer and especially enjoyed writing poems and literature and was also a talented artist and enjoyed drawing. Ruth loved to travel and especially enjoyed traveling with her close friends and travel partners Mary Anne Lombardi, Pat Sumuskaus, Jene Delkescamp and Jane Pronovost. A dedicated wife, mother, and friend, Ruth will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.
Among her survivors are her children; Ronald Hutt of New York, NY; and Barbara Hutt of Wolcott with whom she shared her home as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family and friends including Mary Ianfolla, who was like a sister to Ruth.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hutt will be held on Friday March 1, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. when a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St Blaise Parish, Saint Patrick Church 50 Charles St, Waterbury, CT 06708. Those planning to attend are asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow in New Pine Grove Cemetery, Waterbury. There are no calling hours.
