Loving Mother and Wife
WATERBURY – Mrs. Ruth B. Mulhall, age 63, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on her 63rd birthday, Monday, October 10, 2022, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family after an extended illness. She was the loving wife of Brian Mulhall.
Mrs. Mulhall was born on October 10, 1959, in Waterbury, CT, the daughter of the late Richard and Wilma (Mueskes) Borchardt. Ruth was a lifelong Waterbury resident, attended Kennedy High School, and received her bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of Connecticut. Ruth was a loving mother and homemaker who dedicated herself to raising her family and volunteer work at
Waterbury Hospital and the former Saint Mary School. After her children were grown, she began working as a Deputy Registrar of Voters for the City of Waterbury. She also served on the board of trustees at Pine Grove Cemetery. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, knitting, crocheting, and trips to Marco Island, FL.
Left to honor her legacy and cherish her memory along with her husband of 39 years, Brian, she leaves her children Sarah Mulhall (Coulson Hageman) of Hamden, and William Mulhall of Arlington, VA. She also leaves her siblings, Bill Borchardt of Gaithersburg, MD; her sister, Barbara Borchardt of Cumberland, ME as well as her mother-in-law, Patricia Mulhall, and her brothers- and sisters-in-law, William (Elaine) Mulhall, Robert Mulhall, Ann (Charles) Marino, Judith (Daniel) Mancini, Patrick (Donna) Mulhall, Patricia (Garrick) Tan in addition to many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her father-in-law William Mulhall and her brother-in-law, Mitchell Fernie.
Per Ruth’s requests, a graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at 11:15 a.m. at the New Pine Grove Cemetery, 950 Meriden Rd Waterbury CT 06705. Those planning to attend are asked to meet directly at the cemetery. There are no calling hours.
