BRISTOL – Ryan O. Mullen Sr., age 43, of Bristol, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 27, 2023, at Bristol Hospital. He was the devoted husband of Elba Tirhado Mullen.
Ryan was born on August 27, 1980, in Waterbury, the son of Jeffrey E. Graham and Vickie Mullen-Gillyard both of Waterbury. He was educated in local schools in Waterbury. Ryan loved the outdoors, especially fishing and gardening. He had a unique sense of humor and enjoyed cooking meals for family and friends. He was a talented vocalist and played several instruments, the piano and drums just to name a few. He had a true passion for music and enjoyed cars. He had a deep and special love for his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love him.
Left to honor his legacy and cherish his memory beside his wife and parents, are his children; Zion Hayer, Ryan O. Mullen Jr, and stepdaughters, Tatiana Armstrong and Leila Armstrong. He also leaves his siblings: Zarquavius Mullen, Michael Mullen-Gillyard, Joshoel Mullen, and Tatiana Jones. He was especially devoted to his niece, Vintia Mullen. He also leaves his maternal grandmother, Wanda P. Jones of Waterbury.
Memorial services for Mr. Mullen will be held on Friday, December 1, 2023, at 5:30 p.m. at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 1987 East Main St., Waterbury. Burial will be held at the convenience of his family. Relatives and friends may visit with the Mullen family on Friday December 1, 2023, from 4:00 until 5:30 p.m. when the service commences.
