JOINT FUNERAL TO BE HELD WITH HER DAUGHTER ON TUESDAY

WATERBURY- Mrs. Sadie Bush, age 75, of Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 6th 2021 at Saint Mary's Hospital, less than a week after her daughter, Cynthia passed.
Sadie was born in Greenville, NC on February 10th 1946, the daughter of the late Wren and Helen (Ebron) Locke. Sadie was raised in the Greenville area where she attended local schools. Once settling in the Waterbury area, Sadie opened her first beauty salon, Fashionette Beauty Salon and then later the Total Essence Beauty Salon where she spent many years working alongside her family as a hair stylist. Sadie was a loving and dedicated mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved to be surrounded by her family. She also was known as the adopted mother to hundreds of people throughout the area, since she had such a kind and loving nature and everyone wanted her to be their Mom. Sadie enjoyed traveling and spending time in the Bahamas and was a long-time member of the Christ CME Church of Waterbury. She will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.
Left to cherish her memory and honor her legacy, are her children; Andre, Juanita, Deborah, Fitzgerald and Jericha all of Waterbury, her adoring 20 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren Sadie also leaves her siblings: Helen Locke, Connie Locke, Earleen Turnage, Wren Locke Jr., Danny Locke
She was predeceased by her grandson, Anthony Waiters and her daughter, Cynthia Council who passed only 6 days prior, her brother, Roosevelt Locke and Blanche Joyner.
Funeral services for Ms. Bush will be held jointly with her daughter, Cynthia scheduled on Tuesday, June 8th 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Service,1987 East Main St. Waterbury. Burial will be held at the convenience of her family. Friends and relatives may visit with the Bush family on Tuesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m.. Until the greater Waterbury area reaches a 70% threshold of vaccinated population, those visiting the funeral home are requested to remain masked while inside or attending services.
