AT THE CASEY-O'DONNELL FAMILY FUNERAL HOME
WATERBURY CT: Mrs. Sally A. (Kerwin) Dunnigan, age 73, of Longmeadow Drive Waterbury, died peacefully Tuesday July 22nd after an extended illness at Riverglen Health Care Center of Southbury with her family by her side. She was the wife of Joseph F. Dunnigan.
Sally was born June 6th 1935 in Pittston PA, the daughter of the late John and Lillian (Walsh) Kerwin. She was a graduate of Saint Johns high school and moved to Waterbury after marrying her husband Joe in 1952. She worked as an assembler for many years at the former Mattatuck Mfg. and retired in 1998 after more than 33 years of service. She enjoyed traveling and spending time a Cape Cod, and Mohegan Sun and most importantly spending time with her grandchildren. She was a parishioner of St. Francis Xavier Church, Waterbury
Besides her husband Joe of 56 years, she is survived by a son, Joseph and his wife Denise of Wolcott, CT; three daughters Maryann Dunnigan, of Waterbury, Patricia Petrovich and her husband John of New Port Richey FL; and Sally Scott and her husband Bob of Waterbury, 3 grandchildren Nicole Marvin, Aaron Ibrahimi & Brydie Dunnigan as well as 1 great grand daughter Caitlin Marvin. She is pre-deceased by a sister Ruth (Kerwin) Reklaitis.
Funeral services for Mrs. Dunnigan will be held on Friday July 25, 2008 at 8:45am from the Casey O'Donnell Family Funeral Home 1581 East Main St. Waterbury to Saint Francis Xavier Church 605 Baldwin St Waterbury for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Waterbury. Friends and family may call at the Casey-O'Donnell Family Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 5-7p.m. In lieu of flowers donations in Sally's memory may be made to Connecticut VNA Home Healthcare and Hospice by Masonicare. 680 Main Street Watertown, CT 06795.
