AT THE CASEY - O'DONNELL FAMILY FUNERAL HOME - WATERBURY CT. Mrs. Sally (Engle) Geary, age 56, of Eastside Blvd, Waterbury, died unexpectedly on Monday evening at St. Mary's Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Jack Geary.
Sally was born on October 21, 1953 in Waterbury the daughter of the late Fred and Etta (Noe) Engle. She was a graduate of Naugatuck High School and had been employed at St. Mary's Hospital for over 22 years as a Medical Records Coordinator. Sally was an amazing mother, caring and compassionate, till her last breath. She always put others needs and concerns above her own. Caring for her family was her passion in life and she will always be remembered as a loving, wife, mother and cook.
Besides her devoted husband, Sally leaves two sons, Jack Jr. of Waterbury and Michael and his wife Addie of Oakville, two brothers, Fred Engle of Beacon Falls and John Engle of Naugatuck and a sister, Freda Carreiro of Oakville. She also leaves several nieces, nephews and loving in-laws as well as her beloved "Coco".
Funeral Services for Mrs. Geary will be held on Friday July 9, 2010 at 9:00am from the Casey-O'Donnell Family Funeral Home 1581 East Main St. Waterbury to the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, 74 West Main St. Waterbury for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 till 7 pm. Memorial donations in Mrs. Geary's memory may be made to the St Mary's Hospital Foundation, 56 Franklin St Waterbury CT 060706.
