WATERBURY- Salvatore C. Barbieri, age 62 of Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at his home. He was the former husband of Nikki A. Barbieri and Terri-Ann Barbieri
Sal was born on November 10, 1954 in Waterbury, the son of Lorraine (Vicenzi) Barbieri and the late Carl S. Barbieri Sr. He was the Owner and Operator of Commercial Painting Contractors Inc. in Waterbury. Sal was an avid pool player, he enjoyed hunting and fishing with his sons, riding his Harley, watching UCONN Men's basketball with his daughter, Nicole, UCONN Women's basketball with his mom and sister and special dinners with his daughter, Stephanie. He was a passionate New York Yankees and New England Patriots fan. Sal was a dear friend to all who knew him as a caring, loving man who would give anyone the shirt off his back.
Besides his mother of Waterbury and former wives of Waterbury, he leaves three sons, Brian and Joseph both of Waterbury and Nicholas Barbieri of Boca Raton FL, two daughters, Nicole Barbieri of Bridgeport, Stephanie Barbieri of Waterbury, step-daughter Melissa Sauvageau-Green and Doug Green of Boca Raton FL, his sister, Luann Macary and her husband, Michael of Waterbury, three grandchildren, Douglas, Carla and Cosette Green, his beloved nephew, Greg Kalosky, longtime confidant, Donna Ouellette and a host of treasured friends. He was predeceased by his two brothers, Jimmy and Carl Barbieri Jr
Funeral services for Mr. Barbieri will be held on Monday, December 5, 2016 at 10:00 am from Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd. to SS Peter & Paul Church 167 Southmayd Rd. Waterbury to celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury Relatives and friends may visit with Mr. Barbieri's family on Sunday afternoon from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
