OAKVILLE - Sandra (Thut) Duncan, age 65, passed away on July 21, 2019 surrounded by her family at Saint Mary's Hospital.
Sandy was born on June 20, 1954 in Aurora, IL, the daughter of the late Neil Thut and Lois (Doolittle) Thut. Sandy worked as a bookkeeper for many years. Sandra and her beloved husband Scott, were married for 47 loving years and enjoyed many vacations together with their children. She was a loyal and loving wife and mother. She enjoyed sewing, reading, traveling as well as cooking and baking for her family. Sandy was a most gracious hostess and put the comfort of others first. She made the world a better place for all of us, we are blessed and thankful to have had her in our lives.
Besides her husband, Sandy is survived by her four children; Carl Duncan, Erica Abdullah, Andrew Duncan, and Laura Graafland, as well as her four grandchildren, Emmery Duprey, Dempsey Duncan, Delaney Duncan and Dalton Duncan. She also leaves behind her siblings, Michael Thut, Leslie Ciarlo, and Dean Thut. Sandy was predeceased by her sister, Jill Hajrula.
Funeral services for Mrs. Duncan will be held on Saturday July 27, 2019 at ¬¬¬¬¬10:00 a.m. at The First Congregational Church, Watertown. All those planning to attend are kindly asked to meet directly at the church. Sandy's ashes will be handled as per her wishes, privately at the convenience of her husband, children, and grandchildren.
