Devoted To Her Family
WOLCOTT - Sara M. Samuolis, age 73 of Wolcott, passed away at home, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family on Tuesday November 19th 2019 after a brief illness. She was the wife of Stanley Samuolis.
Sara was born May 5, 1946 in Waterbury, CT the daughter of the late Kenneth and Gertrude (Lynch) Macdonald. Sara was a lifelong Wolcott resident who attended local schools and spent many years working for various manufacturing companies throughout the area, retiring from Idex. Sara enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Wolcott Lanes bowling league. She was an avid reader and was always the life of the party. There was nothing more important to Sara than her family and she was always happiest spending time with them. A dedicated wife, mother, aunt and friend, Sara will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.
Left to cherish her memory and honor Sara's love and legacy are her husband, Stanley of 53 years, her daughters; Tracy Dionne of Wolcott, as well as her adopted daughters, Maureen Lacy of Watertown and Jodi Bock of Waterbury. She also leaves her brothers; Joseph and Thomas Macdonald, her sisters; Christine Downey, Mary Rogers, and Kathleen Williams; and her beloved Samuolis family, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Kenneth Macdonald and sisters; Beatrice Macdonald and Trudy Paolino.
A memorial gathering for Mrs. Samuolis will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2019 from 4:00- 5:00pm at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home 1987 East Main St Waterbury, Ct 06705. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
