WATERBURY - Serenity Mia-Lee Perez age 7, passed away tragically following a motor vehicle accident on Sunday, July 5, 2020. She was the daughter of Yolanda Perez and Victor Rivera.

Serenity was born on August 13, 2012 in Waterbury and was a student at Washington Elementary School. She was the brightest light in the world for all of her family, with a smile that could literally turn everyone she met into one of her very best friends. She was taken away from us way too soon and under very tragic circumstances. Despite only being with us for seven short years, she will be very sadly missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.

Besides her parents of Waterbury, Serenity leaves to honor her memory, her maternal grandparents; Martha Vargas Moreno and Ociel Vargas and her paternal grandmother, Francisca Acosta, her Godparents; Alex Enrique Perez Moreno and Yazmin Moreno and her Uncles; Marcos Perez Moreno and Anthony Vargas, Aunt; Khalany Vargas, and many more extended family members.

Funeral services for Serenity will be held on Friday, July 10, 2020 at 10:00 a.m from Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home 1987 East Main St Waterbury to All Saints - Todos Los Santos @ the Shrine of St. Anne to celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends may visit with Serenity's family on Friday morning from 9:00 till 10:00 am at the funeral home State regulations and guidelines currently in effect regarding COVID-19 restrictions will be strictly enforced at all public events.
