Morris- Shannon K. Rollins, age 47, of West Street, died peacefully Friday December 28th at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital surrounded by her family after an extended illness. She was the wife of Dwight Rollins.

Shannon was born on April 18th 1960 in Waterbury, CT the daughter of late Thomas & Eileen (O'Connor) Murphy. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School class of 1978 and then attended Saint Mary's School of Nursing where she obtained her RN degree before graduating from Western Connecticut State University where she earned her Bachelors in Nursing. She worked at Saint Mary's hospital for 23 years as a RN caring for patients in the ICU, Telemetry, and medical floors. She was a holistic practitioner and was the co-owner of Circle of Light Healing Art Studio in Litchfield where she had practiced holistic care for several years. She served as the president of the James Morris School PTO for 12 years, was a member of the Wamago High School Task Force and Booster club as well as a member of The Church of Nativity in Bethlehem. Shannon was an avid animal lover who was always willing to take in a stray, injured, or lost animal but most importantly was a dedicated mother who devoted all of her free time to her children and family.

Besides her husband Dwight of 24 years, she is survived by her four children Christian, Connor, Matthew, & Lauren Rollins, her husbands parents Al & Iona Rollins of Bristol, three brothers, Thomas Murphy III and his wife Cindy of Watertown, Sean Murphy and his wife Margaret of Wolcott, Michael Murphy and his wife Karen of Watertown, as well as thirteen nieces and nephews and several aunts and uncles.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Rollins will be held on Friday, January 4th, 2008 10:00am at The Church of Nativity 48 East St (Rt. 132) Bethlehem followed by burial in New Pine Grove Cemetery (850 Meriden Rd) Waterbury. There are no calling hours.
