WATERBURY - Sharon Ann Brown, age 60 of Waterbury, entered into eternal rest, on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at St. Mary's Hospital after a brief but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Sharon was born on August 15, 1956in Waterbury the daughter of Patricia (Jamele) Brown and the late Thomas Brown. An employee of Southbury Training School for thirteen years Sharon made her career in the healthcare field working is several area nursing homes including Park Manor in Waterbury. Sharon's main goal in life was helping others as she touched many people's lives with her generous spirit. She was nicknamed ,"Sanford and Son", as she was an avid thrift store and tag sale buff, always finding just the right items for family and friends. Sharon loved to make people laugh and she maintained her sense of humor until the very end. She enjoyed many summers at the beach in Westbrook with her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling and trips to the casino with her longtime companion, Rhea Hamel
Besides her mother, Paticia, Sharon leaves to mourn her loss her brothers, Thomas, David and Kevin Brown and his wife Ivette, her nieces, Izzy, Katia, Megan, Erin and her fiancé Phil Parrow. Sharon was predeceased by her sister-in-law, Janice Brown.
Sharon's family and friends would like to acknowledge and thank the staff at St. Mary's Hospital for the compassionate care and love they shared with Sharon during her illness.
In keeping with Sharon's wishes all services will be private.
