OAKVILLE - Sharon (Christopher) Faressa, age 74 of Oakville, passed away surrounded by the love and comfort of her family on Friday, November 10, 2023, at St Mary's Hospital Vitas Unit after a very brief illness. She was the Wife of Anthony Faressa.
Sharon was born on June 25, 1949, in Oakville, the daughter of the late Domenic and Mary (Amabile) Christopher. She graduated from Watertown High School class of 1967. She began her working career at Grandway in Waterbury where she met her husband of 55 years, Tony. She went on to work at Winchester Electronics and later worked at Waterbury Orthopaedic Associates and TLC Learning Center & Day Care in Oakville. Sharon loved to bake, especially her Christmas cookies, scones and "bunnies" everyone waited for at Easter. Her favorite pastime was being Nonnie to her two grandsons. Our family thanks you Mom, for every prayer you uttered for us, for the many sacrifices you made for us, for thousands of hugs you shared with us and the unending love you instilled in all of us.
Left to honor her legacy and cherish her memory, besides her husband of 55 years, Tony, she leaves her son, Mark (Christine) Faressa, her daughter, Stephanie (Mario) Varrone, both of Watertown, her brother Richard (Mary) Christopher of Florida, her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, JoAnn & Richard Sullivan and the two loves of her life, her grandsons, Rocco Varrone and Domenic Faressa. Sharon was pre-deceased by many aunts, uncles and cousins. However, she leaves to cherish her memory her Uncle Fred Milton and her three cousins April (Cipullo) Benoit, Linda (Amabile) Paquette and Michael Milton.
