Loving Mother, Grandmother and Great- Grandmother
WATERBURY- It is with broken hearts and profound sadness that the family of Sharon D. Parker, age 67, of Waterbury share the news of her peaceful passing on March 15, 2025 at Waterbury Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the longtime loving partner of Ronald Schofield.
Sharon was born on January 18, 1958 in Waterbury CT, the daughter of Mary Hickson Levitt and the late Thomas Parker. She began her professional journey as a talented hairdresser before dedicating her career to caring for children. A natural leader, caretaker, and protector, she found joy in helping others and making a difference in their lives. With an infectious spirit, she was the life of the party and a radiant presence to all who knew her. She deeply cherished her family,friends, and fashion—if style had a name, it would have been “Sharon Parker”. Her love, laughter,and vibrant energy will be profoundly missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.
Left to cherish her memory are her children; Alicia A. Nealy, Bobby J. Nealy Jr., Shakeria L. Nealy and Julian D. Saunders, her grandchildren; Prince Martinez, Jordyn Martinez, Jordae Martinez, Bri’Yiana Nealy, Breonte Nealy, Baije Nealy, Benz Nealy, Breon Nealy, Brejea Nealy, B’jhea Nealy, her great- grandchildren; Bryce Nealy, Artist Ferris, Gianna Pendarvis, Geremiah Pendarvis, Bentley Nealy, Avalee Ferris, her sisters; Mary LuLu Hickson, Corrine Ricketts, Sherry Brown, Nettra Farniece Brown, Tanya Parker, Tabitha Parker and Zelda Hobbs, her brothers; Thomas Buhda Parker, Tracey Rucker, Kevin Brown and Wayne Brown, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many loving extending family members and friends. Sharon was predeceased by her children’s father, Bobby Nealy Sr.
Funeral Services for Ms. Parker will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 1987 East Main Street, Waterbury, CT.Burial will follow in New Pine Grove Cemetery, Waterbury.
