Never forgot her beloved Waterbury
PALM BAY FL – Sheila (Dowling) Brouillard, age 81, of Palm Bay, FL, formerly of Waterbury, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love and comfort of her family at William Childs Hospice House, Palm Bay, on Thursday, April 6, 2023. She was the widow of Richard Brouillard.
Sheila was born January 24, 1942, in Waterbury, CT, the daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Ricciardi) Dowling. Sheila was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School and then went on to work as a hairdresser for many years. Sheila moved to Florida over 30 years ago, but never forgot her beloved hometown of Waterbury. She enjoyed camping and was a fan of the New York Giants. Sheila was also a Nascar fan and cheered on CT’s own, Joey Logano. What Sheila loved the most was spending time with her grandchildren, who she loved and cherished very much. Our family thanks you Mom, for every prayer you uttered for us, for the many sacrifices you made for us, for thousands of hugs you shared with us, and the unending love you instilled in all of us.
Left to honor her legacy and cherish her memories are her son; Thomas (Nancy) Dunlap, daughter, Elaine (Daren) Strazzeri, and three grandchildren; Kelsey, Amanda, and Shawn. She also leaves her brother, E. Thomas (Rosemarie) Dowling, along with special cousins, extended family, and friends.
