THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE ASSISTING AND CARING FOR THE FAMILY OF SHEILA COOPER
OAKVILLE - Sheila Cooper age 55 of Oakville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at home after a courageous battle with cancer.
Sheila was born on August 10, 1962 in Waterbury, the daughter of the late Thomas F and Catherine (Mahoney) Cooper. She was a graduate of Crosby High School and was self-employed for many years. What was most important to Sheila was her family, children and grandchildren and spending quality time with all of them. Sheila enjoyed gardening and being surrounded by the beauty of nature. She enjoyed life to its fullest and will be missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.
Sheila is survived by her sons, Alfred and Thomas Demers both of Oakville, her daughter, Amanda Scarzella and her husband, Mark of Ledyard CT, her daughter in law, Yascalina Bartley and grandchildren; Joel, Jasmine, Sophia and Samuel, her longtime companion, Jamie Morse and his daughter, Carissa and son Jason Conrad. She also leaves her brothers; Richard J. Cooper and his wife, Sharon of Waterbury and Thomas Cooper and his wife, Maurie of Waterbury, her sisters; Catherine Theriault and her husband, Roger of Waterbury, Mary Quattro and her husband, Thomas Sr of Watertown and Ellen Knutson and her husband, Herb of Waterbury as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Sheila will be greatly missed by her faithful 4 legged best friend, "Star". She was predeceased by her sister, JoAnna McCarthy.
Funeral Services for Ms. Cooper will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. when a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, 74 West Main St Waterbury. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home 1987 East Main St has been entrusted to assist her family with arrangements.
