AT THE O'NEILL FUNERAL HOME - OAKVILLE - Shirley C. (Cote) Drouin, age 73, of Main St Oakville, died Friday at Waterbury Hospital after a brief illness.
Shirley was born in Millinocket Maine on May 18, 1932, the daughter of the late Joseph Amos Cote and Mary Veronica (Plourde) Cote. She was educated in local schools and was a retired employee of Quinnipiac University. Shirley loved word puzzles of all kinds and was a quiet, thoughtful person who was very proud of her family.
Shirley is survived by her four children, her daughters, Carolee Kalita and her husband Ray of Litchfield, Theresa Drouin of Windsor and Shirley Guiducci and her husband Dale of LaMesa Ca, and her son, Wayne and his wife Cathie Drouin of Greenacres FL. She also leaves her brother, Art Cote of Colorado, her two sisters, Carol Cote of Wolcott and Margie Tucker of Watertown and her 7 grandchildren, Rick Mazeika, Jeff Mazeika, Randy Drouin, Jennifer Kalita, Rob Kalita, Mark Guiducci and Carly Guiducci, as well as 8 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Drouin will be held on Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at 11:00am at the O'Neill Funeral Home 742 Main St., Oakville. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Watertown. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10am until the service at 11:00am.
