THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE CARING FOR AND ASSISTING THE FAMILY OF SHIRLEY A. COTE
OAKVILLE - Shirley A. (Kiesel) Cote of Oakville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 after a brief illness at Waterbury Hospital. She was the loving wife of Roger Cote.
Shirley was born on September 13, 1950 in Waterbury, CT, the daughter of the late John Jr. and Irene (Ritter) Kiesel. She was educated in local schools and worked hard, managing the Carpet Barn. Shirley enjoyed spending her time watching her favorite "I Love Lucy" episodes and collecting Yankee's memorabilia. She was fond of animals, especially cats. Shirley was the center of her family and loved that her children lived so close. Not only was Shirley a devoted wife and mother but she had a special love for her 5 grandchildren. Her memory will live on in the stories shared by those who loved her.
Besides her husband of 49 years, Shirley is survived by her daughters; Danielle Kalinowski and her husband, Mike of Oakville and Renee Spagnoletti and her husband, David also of Oakville She also leaves her brothers; John Kiesel of Oakville, and Robert Kiesel and his wife, Mardell of AK.; and her 5 grandchildren, Crystal, Brandon, Joseph, Lilly, and Aiden and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Edward Kiesel.
A Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Cote will be held on Friday, July 5th 2019 at 11:30 a.m. at the O'Neill Funeral Home 742 Main St, Oakville, CT 06779. Relatives and friends may visit with Shirley's family on Friday morning, from 9:30 am until the service at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow at New Pine Grove Cemetery in Waterbury.
