WATERTOWN- Simone (Ingouf) LeClair age 88 formerly of Buckingham Street and Ann Ave., Oakville passed away peacefully on Tuesday April 22, 2008 at Waterbury Extended Care in Watertown. She was the widow of Oscar D. LeClair
Simone was born September 26, 1919 in Cherbourg, France a daughter of the late Victor and Bertha (Voisin) Ingouf and had been a resident of Oakville and Watertown since coming to the US as a war bride 1946. She was educated in France. Prior to her retirement she was employed in the packaging department at the Oakville Pin Shop where she worked for several years. She was a communicant of Saint Mary Magdalen Church and a member of the CWO. Simone was past president of the V.F.W. Auxiliary Post 7330 in Oakville and was an extremely talented needle pointer and knitter.
She leaves a daughter June Diamond of Fort Worth, TX, a granddaughter Denise Diamond of Fort Worth, TX, a brother Paul Ingouf and his wife Denise of France, a sister in law Elise Guerin of Canada and many nieces and nephews in France, Canada and Connecticut.
