Devoted to her family and career
WOLCOTT – With profound sadness and grief the family of Stacy Burgio, age 42, of Wolcott, announce her sudden passing on December 23, 2023, at the Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain.
Stacy was born on March 7, 1981, the daughter of Frank Burgio Jr. and Sharon Dobler. Stacy was always a warrior and came into this world prematurely, fighting as she would for all of her years on this earth. Throughout her life she was the most caring, passionate, strong, independent, classy woman you knew. She was professional and talented and had a passion for teaching. Took her all the way to Regional Manager of a well-known chain of hair salons, covering 3 states. Stacy always saw the best in people and was a bright light in an otherwise dark world. She was most proud to be a loving and dedicated mother to her daughter, Meya Vargas. She will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.
Left to cherish her memory and honor her legacy are her beloved daughter, Meya, her parents, Frank and Sharon, brothers, Edward Steele and Danny Burgio, and her grandmother, Barbara Burgio. She also leaves her aunt, Robin Davignon, and cousin, Jennifer (Cissy) Lush along with many other aunts, uncles, and cousins. Stacy was predeceased by her grandfather, Frank Burgio Sr. and brother Richard Steele
Relatives and friends may visit with the Burgio family on Thursday, December 28, 2023, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 1987 East Main St., Waterbury. Burial will be held privately and at the convenience of her family. Loving-kindness is always welcome, and it only takes a moment to offer a message of condolence, words of comfort, or share a memory with the family and friends of someone important to you.
