AT THE CASEY-O'DONNELL FAMILY FUNERAL HOME Waterbury Stella Taschereau, age 85, of Richmond Ave Waterbury, died Friday, October 21st at Meridian Manor Health Care Center in Waterbury after a long illness. She was the widower of Earl Taschereau.
Stella was born November 7th 1925 in Willinocket Maine, the daughter of the late Richard and Edna (Willette) Labbe. She grew up and attended local schools in Maine and moved to Connecticut in the early 1950's where she began and raised her family. Stella was a loving and dedicated home maker and mother who enjoyed needle work and collecting Elvis Presley Memorabilia.
Among her survivors are three sons; Roger Frank Taschereau of Naugatuck, Earl H. Tascherau of Virginia, and William Cooke of Waterbury and two daughters, Evelyn Campagna, and Lori Cooke, both of Waterbury. She also leaves her sisters; Pearl Michaud, of Winsted, Mary Campbell of Berlin, Rella Bouchard of Fort Kent Maine, and Gloria Fava of Florida. Her grandchildren; Jennifer Hotchkiss, Jaclyn Taschereau, Mark Taschereau, Sarah Cohen Carmier, and Michael and Kyle Cooke, as well as her great grandchildren; Lauren Taschereau, Aubrie, Stephanie and Jacob Hotchkiss.
Funeral services for Mrs. Taschereau will be held privately at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
