Stephen "Stork" Robert Swift age 49 of Middlebury, formerly of Florida passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Monday September 17, 2012
Stephen was born in Waterbury CT on October 4, 1962 the son of the late Edwin P. Swift Jr. and June Rose (Becker) Swift. He graduated from Crosby High school and attended Johnson Whales College where he studied culinary arts. Stephen had lived in Florida for the past 13 years but recently resided with his family in Middlebury. Stephen had a love for food and a passion for cooking. He had a big heart and touched the lives of everyone he met. He spent a large portion of his life as a devoted caregiver to his grandmother Margaret Becker and his father Edwin. Stephen loved life and was the life of the party.
Among his survivors are his two brothers Edwin Swift III, and Paul Swift, his eight sisters, Kathleen Swift, Karen Capozzi, Nancy Rossi and her husband Steve, Susan Hanley and her Fiancé Anthony, Jane Tortora and her husband Greg, Patricia Lanosa and her husband Frank, Rebecca Spina and her husband Lou, Jennifer Labrie and her husband Stephan. He also leaves many nieces, and nephews, and several great nieces and nephews as well as many good friends. He is pre-deceased by his brother Gregory Swift
The family would like to express their appreciation to those who provided their support during Stephen's illness and would like to give a special thank you to all his angels who cared for him.
