Enjoyed Many Trips to Disney

WATERBURY - Susan Maura Devino, age 59, of Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 after a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of Michael Moriarty.

Susan was born September 29, 1962 in Waterbury, CT, the daughter of Ralph J. "Buzzy" Devino and the late Patricia (McLaughlin) Devino. She attended St. Margaret School and graduated from Sacred Heart High School prior to receiving her licensed massage therapy and physical therapy assistant certifications. She spent many years as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Jacksonville, Florida and locally in the Waterbury area along with working for Amazon.

Susan was a dedicated worker, known to hold three jobs at a time, always working to support her household and her travels to Disney World. Susan was passionate about creating special memories with her nieces and nephews by taking them to Disney to celebrate special occasions and holidays. She enjoyed spending her morning commute calling her siblings on the phone to wish them a good day, drinking coffee and sharing a meal with her brother Michael, or long talks with her dad. She took such pride in her ability to make such delicious meals, caring for her raised garden beds, and canning her family's recipes. She was an avid animal lover; her dogs were her greatest joy and brought her such happiness.

Left to honor her legacy and cherish her memory are her husband Michael Moriarty of 15 years, her brothers; Michael Devino, of Waterbury, William Devino of Decatur, GA, her sisters, Monica Devino-Donofrio and her husband, Steven of Shelton, Kathryn Harnish and her husband, George of Atlantic Beach, FL, and Patricia Hall and her husband, David of Orange. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Steven and Bridget Guerrera, Matthew and Jessica Devino, and Sean and Kiley Harnish. She was predeceased by her brother, Paul Devino
