THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE ASSISTING AND CARING FOR THE FAMILY OF SUZY FENNELLY
NAUGATUCK - Suzanne Fennelly of Naugatuck, CT, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday December 13, 2020.
Suzy was born August 28, 1991 and spent her childhood in Watertown, CT. She lived life to the fullest and was quick to share her beautiful smile and sense of humor with those around her. Suzy's favorite thing to do was hang out at home with her children or have playdates with their cousins, but she was always up for fun, enjoying playing cards, having bonfires and attending concerts with her sisters and best friends.
Suzy graduated from Watertown High School in 2009. She went on to earn her Associates Degree from Naugatuck Valley Community College, and her Pharmacy Technician Certification, all while raising a family. Suzy became passionate about her work in the Pharmacy Department at CVS in Naugatuck, CT and had aspirations of becoming a Pharmacist. Most recently, Suzy was enrolled at SCSU working towards her Bachelors Degree.
Though Suzy loved her work, her favorite job was as a Mom to her beloved children, Claire and Ethan Van Stone. Along with their Dad, Brian Van Stone, Suzy and the kids could be found playing at the park, taking bike rides, visiting museums and trampoline parks, and spending time with extended family. There was nothing in this world that brought Suzy more joy than her children.
Suzy was predeceased by her Great Grandmother Claire Garthwait and her Father. Paul Knapp. Suzy's cousin, Rachel (Knapp) Lopez, also passed away on December 13, 2020.
Suzy leaves to cherish her memory her children Claire and Ethan Van Sone along with their Dad, Brian Van Stone, all of Naugatuck.
Claire and Ethan have so many people in their extended family who love them dearly and will help them keep their Mom's memory alive including Suzy's Grandmother, Jane Ouellette of Oakville, Suzy's Mother and Stepfather, Joanne (Knapp) and Mike Goodrow of Watertown, as well as Brian's parents Tom Sr. and Kathy (Farkas) Van Stone. Suzy also leaves her siblings Samantha Fennelly of Naugatuck, Heather (Knapp) and Dan Sanzone of Winsted, Andy Fennelly of Oakville, Kristy Knapp of Terryville, Kelly Knapp of Watertown and David Duggan of Prospect, as well as Brian's siblings Tom Jr and Kathryn (Ellis) Van Stone of Thomaston, and Matthew and Loriah (Webby) Van Stone of Wapwallopen, PA. Suzy adored her title of 'Auntie' to: Grayson McGrath, Owen and Kennedy Sanzone, and James, Felicity, Jaxon, Brooke, Charlotte and Rhett Van Stone. Many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and close friends will also miss Suzy greatly.
