TERESA ZAMBIELLA IANNOTTI
Mrs. Teresa (Zambiella) Iannotti age 83 formerly of Clermont Street, Oakville, died Wednesday at the Village at East Farms in Waterbury. She was the widow of Richard Domenic Iannotti her husband of 45 years who passed in 2000.
Teresa was born February 11, 1925 in Oakville, a daughter of the late Gennaro and Madeline (Desena) Zambiella and was a lifelong Oakville resident. She was a graduate of the former South School and Watertown High School. Prior to her marriage, she had worked as a secretary at the former Autoyre in Oakville. She was an avid duckpin bowler, a Girl Scout Leader of Troop 4054, a volunteer secretary at Saint Mary Magdalen School, a member of the V.F.W. Post 7330 Women's Auxiliary and a communicant of Saint Mary Magdalen Church where she was also a member of the C.W.O. Teresa was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
She leaves two daughters, Pamela A. Castillo and her husband Andrew J. of Jonestown, PA., Karen M. Blanchet and her husband Eugene of Woodbury, CT., three brothers Anthony and Jerry Zambiella both of Oakville, Joseph Zambiella and his wife Lorraine of Tyrone, PA., a sister Anna Richmond and her husband Robert of Newark, DE., five grandchildren Matthew, Christopher and Katie Castillo, Jamie and Kellie Blanchet, many nieces and nephews including Anthony Zambiella Jr. of Oakville and a sister in law Marlene Yeomans.
Funeral Saturday at 8 a.m. from the O'Neill Funeral Home, 742 Main Street Oakville to Saint Mary Magdalen Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Watertown.
